Based on a novella by the Danish author Herman Bang, this illustration aims to capture a scene in which love and jealousy between two life long acrobat partners lead to a tense, animalistic dance off mid air. This illustration was part of a series created for the Hans Meid Foundation which aims to re-publish classics accompanied by interpretations of contemporary artists.
