Andrea graduated with a Master’s degree in Communication Design at the very beginning of 2026, focusing her studies on experimental ways to combine the storytelling of traditional graphic design, illustration and comic art. Now she is in the midst of her first year as a full time freelance creative, creating editorial illustrations for several periodicals (e.g. Die Zeit, The Washington Post, The Baffler, Le Nouvel Obs) as well as cultural institutions (e.g. German Trade Union) She also works as an art director and designer for Neue Narrative, a magazine trying to make the work place more human-centered.

Andrea is drawn to the friction between the intimate and the systemic — how we care for one another within and despite the constraints of corporate structures, the messy nature of being human and the digital noise in our daily lives. She tends to show tired or joyful bodies, tangled limbs, faces that display curiosity or exhaustion, using bold color palettes that guide the viewer through chaotic, yet tender seeming compositions. Projects are mostly realized through a mix of digital and traditional media, mixing pencil drawings or acrylic paintings with digital coloring.
