In her recent practices, Zixuan combines her interest and talents on 3d design, ceramics and glass crafting, in order to create the dialogue between ceramics and glass. Through a series of techniques include 3d drawing, 3d printing and glass blowing, and constant thinking and handling, Zixuan explores materialities and technical possibilities of fragile materials. Her works are the balance of complementarity and compromise.

Zixuan Zhang is a material-based, multitalented artist. During her time as a student at both Central Saint Martins (London) and the Royal College of Art (London), she not only acquired degrees in BA Ceramics Design and MA Ceramics and Glass (Merit), but also engaged in various activities and collaborations with talented people in the fields of fashion, 3D, and photography.
