ARTWORK FOR PURCHASE AVAILABLE SOON
Yuze Pan is a metal-based artist and maker whose practice explores material, structure and the relationship between objects, the body and surrounding environments. Working primarily with metal, he combines traditional hand fabrication with digital and industrial processes to examine how materials and techniques shape the form and meaning of an artwork. With a background in jewellery and fine metalwork, his practice increasingly extends into sculptural forms and wider material experimentation. He is particularly interested in surface, colour, weight and structure, as well as the tension between precision and irregularity, hand-making and industrial production. Through these relationships, Pan explores coexistence, boundaries and changing connections between people, objects and spaces.
Yuze Pan’s practice is rooted in metal, jewellery and object-making, using material, structure and movement to explore changing relationships between people, objects and their surroundings. His works bring traditional hand fabrication into dialogue with digital and industrial processes. In the Silver & Aluminium series, contrasting materials and methods reflect the coexistence of inherited craftsmanship and contemporary production. In Polyphony, colour, structure and shifting viewpoints allow multiple visual states to exist within a single work. Across his practice, Pan is interested in how materials carry meaning through surface, weight, colour and construction, and how making can become a way to examine coexistence, transformation and the boundaries between craft, design and art.
