Yanika (b. 2000) is a London-based digital artist whose practice explores the liminal space between AI-generated imagery and analogue aesthetics. Through her latest work, Time Factory, Yanika invites viewers into a contemplative dialogue on the essence of human existence.

Time Factory is an AI-powered short film that interrogates the interplay between temporal fluidity and identity, the ephemeral and the eternal.

Imagine you are a worker at the Time Factory. What happens when someone presses all the wrong buttons, causing the machinery to falter and the waters to rise? Would you remain an observer, or would you attempt to engage in a dialogue with the Being? Some questions will remain unanswered, but you could still try to understand why everything went in circles.

The video itself is a visual meditation on impermanence, transformation, and the essence of being. Through the prism of multiple AI platforms, it reflects on an unsettling yet reassuring truth: we are not at the mercy of time—we are time.
