Vero Evans, founder of AdHoram, is an Italian contemporary jewellery designer based in Rome whose practice draws from literature, art, memory, and human experience. Formed through a classical education in philosophy, literature, and art, she spent many years living and working abroad across different countries, cultures, and industries. Returning to Italy after years away became a process of reconnection — with place, thought, memory, and the disciplines that had first shaped her way of seeing the world. From this process, AdHoram was born.

The design process behind each collection is rooted in a period of research and reflection, drawing from literature, art, and the experiences that shape us. Often inspired by writers and artists who sought to understand and express fundamental aspects of the human condition through both their work and their lives, Evans studies the symbols, forms, and ideas that emerge from these narratives. Influenced by figures such as Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Miguel de Cervantes, Ovid, and Katsushika Hokusai, she translates themes of devotion, crossing, belief, and metamorphosis into sculptural forms handcrafted in reused and responsibly sourced materials through traditional techniques.

Vero Evans chose jewellery as a vessel for thought because it is a form capable of gathering touch, movement, repetition, and lived experience. Worn close to the body, it becomes a keeper of personal narratives — carrying memories, beliefs, and experiences that continue to shape who we are over time.

AdHoram approaches jewellery not as ornament, but as a vessel for reflection. Each collection begins with a period of research and contemplation, drawing from literature, art, and the experiences that shape us. The studio is particularly interested in the ways writers, artists, and thinkers have sought to understand and express fundamental aspects of the human condition through both their work and their lives.

These narratives become starting points for exploration. Themes such as devotion, crossing, belief, and metamorphosis are studied as enduring experiences that continue to resonate across time. Through AdHoram, these reflections take form as sculptural objects handcrafted in Italy using traditional lost-wax casting techniques, primarily in recycled sterling silver, 24k gold-plated silver, natural stones, and pearls.

Jewellery became the natural medium for these reflections because of its direct proximity to the body. Unlike other forms, it gathers touch, movement, repetition, and lived experience. Worn over time, it becomes a keeper of personal narratives — carrying memories, beliefs, and experiences that continue to shape who we are.
