TEODORO RAVA- HYPER WOOD

“FORMS OF REVERENCE”
2026

Teodoro is a material designer whose work explores the intersection of natural systems, fabrication, and sustainable futures. They hold an MA in Material Futures from Central Saint Martins, where they developed the foundation for Hyper Wood, a new self engineered biomaterial, and a project that investigates regenerative materials as a whole.

Their work has been exhibited for Design weeks in Milan, London, Dutch Design Week as well as Three Days of Design in Copenhagen.

Hyper Wood has been featured in several material libraries such as the Jan van Eyck Future Materials Library and the CoLab Material Library in Dubai, boasting publications on Material District, Wallpaper magazine, Plaza Interior and Thisispaper magazines.

Teodoro's vision involves forging connections between manufacturing processes and natural methodologies, with an aim to challenge regenerative design in the built environment.

Teodoro’s process is rooted in hands-on experimentation with reclaimed materials and an ongoing dialogue with natural processes, working intuitively with what is available. Through play, testing, and material exploration, their practice develops adaptable methods and material languages that can inform architects and designers working with waste as a primary resource, encouraging more responsive and unique modes of making in an ever more technocratic built environment.
