Susan Hassmann likes beautiful illustrations - and likes to illustrate beautiful characters.
This is clearly evident in her sensual illustration style. Aesthetics are very important to Susan. Her fascination lies in the feminine silhouette and beauty. Susan’s favourite subjects are stylish people.
She adores the versatility and playfulness of fashion and lifestyle. So you will find often current fashion trends in her illustrations.

And colour is a big issue. Colour is the first thing the viewer notices - the eye catcher. In Susan’s graphic illustration style she prefers rich colour ranges, strong complementary or black/white contrasts. She loves the playful handling of light and shadow. Amazingly Susan starts illustrating with writing. Key words, thoughts and ideas for the subject.
