”The Living Trace”
Natalia Tapety, founder and designer of Lama, is an architect who brings her spatial vision to jewellery. She grew up on the Brazilian coast, where the intensity of natural landscapes intertwines with the urban environment, shaping her perspective through the dialogue between organic and constructed forms, elements that constantly inspire her work. Immersed in a context that deeply values local heritage, she creates pieces that harmonise tradition and contemporaneity, uniting memory and innovation in every jewel.
The transition from architecture to jewellery represented a shift in scale, from inhabitable space to the body, preserving the same creative impulse to transform ideas, tangible or intangible, into matter.
Natalia combines the precision of digital fabrication with the care of manual finishing. Her jewellery transcends mere adornment, carrying presence, meaning, and a vision that balances technical rigour with poetic freedom.
Lama is an architectural jewellery studio dedicated to transforming materials into sculptural narratives. Founded by Brazilian architect Natalia Tapety, the brand operates at the intersection of technology and craftsmanship, combining the precision of digital fabrication with unique manual finishing.
Inspired by natural and urban landscapes, as well as all visible forms that shape space, Natalia explores the dialogue between organic and constructed structures. Her pieces reinterpret unconventional materials such as reclaimed wood and leather in harmony with precious metals. Each jewel is a portable fragment of architecture, a composition of structure, memory, and poetry.
