SEYM GLASS STUDIO
“FORMS OF REVERENCE”
2026
Şeyma Nur Soysal Karpuz is the founder and creative director of Seym Glass Studio, a contemporary glass brand based in Istanbul. Specializing in 100% hand-blown glass objects, she creates sculptural yet functional pieces that merge art, craftsmanship, and emotion. Each design reflects her deep appreciation for individuality, fluid form, and refined color compositions.
Her work is rooted in traditional glassblowing techniques while embracing a modern aesthetic language.
No molds, no mass production — every piece is uniquely shaped by hand, carrying subtle variations that make it one of a kind. Inspired by nature, movement, and personal narratives, her collections explore themes of light, flow, and transformation.
Through Seym Glass Studio, she aims to position contemporary Turkish glass within the international luxury and collectible design market, collaborating with designers, galleries, and hospitality spaces worldwide.
"Seym Glass Studio is a contemporary glass practice founded by artist and designer Şeyma Nur Soysal Karpuz. Working exclusively with hand-blown glass, she explores the poetic relationship between form, light, and movement. Each piece is shaped without molds, embracing spontaneity and subtle imperfection as a celebration of individuality.
Her work exists between sculpture and function — objects that can inhabit a table yet hold the presence of an artwork. Inspired by natural flow, emotional memory, and the transformative nature of fire, Soysal Karpuz treats glass not merely as a material, but as a living medium that responds to breath, heat, and intuition.
Color plays a central role in her practice. Through layered tones and fluid transitions, she creates depth, vibration, and quiet intensity within transparent surfaces. No two works are identical; each carries its own rhythm and character.
Through Seym Glass Studio, she aims to position contemporary Turkish glass within the international collectible design landscape — creating pieces that feel intimate yet monumental, delicate yet powerful."
