RYOJI TAKAHASHI

“CODE&CRAFT”
2025

Ryoji Takahashi born in Nagasaki Prefecture in 1990, he is a “solo maker.”

In his second year of university, he launched VITRO with an engineer, an experimental design initiative. The name VITRO means “test tube,” symbolizing a creative firm that brings forth inspiring everyday scenes through experimental products.

Mixing backgrounds in design, art, technology, and copywriting, VITRO prototypes products and services under the concept of “experimentation and discovery.” Creations include a pencil pedometer, lighting inspired by sparklers, and Arduino-compatible boards.

The aim is to create objects that make people think, “It’s expensive, but I want it someday — so I’ll work hard to earn it!” Through making, VITRO aspires to propose a way of living filled with excitement and wonder.
