A duo of Italian artists, who have been working for years in the area of artistic installations (specialised in sound art and marble sculpture) recently, with the moniker Pantalone they have also entered the wonderful world of illustration.
Pantalone creates his works with the collage technique, using only four bright and bold colors (orange, blue, black and white) and representing minimal surreal situations that need to be carefully observed before being able to understand what exactly they mean.

The figures / the subjects / entities represented in a symbolic way, however, represent universal themes such as the relationship with emptiness, bilocation, the game and the cause and effect of relationships.
In 2020 won the LIMINA prize for illustrators, an online cultural magazine.
Pantalone currently has many figures ready to be assembled in new worlds with a dreamlike flavor.

Pantalone prepares the coffee and places the two cups on a white table.
He went to the paint factory to have two single-tone colours prepared, one blue and one orange. Pantalone has decided that each colour must be used with a specific technique, this is because he has chosen to do so, to give himself a limit. He takes some large white sheets and the two cans of paint. It's time to prepare the sheets. Orange is brushed while blue is sponged and leaves material bubbles on the surface.

Everything is dry and Pantalone opens his binder with the sketches, compares it with his memory and also questions himself about the dreams he has had. Pantalone show off scissors, cutters, rulers, rubber, glue, permanent markers, pencils, ballpoint pens. What tools! The mix of images that is created is elaborated and questioned, because Pantalone has two minds. After washing and finishing processes of the elements, he comes to the synthesis. A result with a minimal tone.
The coffees are still in the cup.
