“CODE&CRAFT”
2025

Antonia Böck is a freelance ceramic artist based in Augsburg, Germany. Her fascination with handmade items began in childhood and sparked a keen curiosity about materials and shapes. This passion led her to study Interior Design at HFT Stuttgart, where she focused on furniture and product design, exploring wood, textiles and other tactile materials.

She continued her studies at the Technical University of Rosenheim, earning a Master of Arts in Furniture Design in 2025. During this time, she engaged deeply with the dialogue between traditional craft techni-ques and parametric design, seeking to merge heritage with contemporary digital tools. Her experimentsspan from ceramic casting and construction methods to ceramic 3D printing, where material, humanintuition, and machine precision converge.

Today, her practice occupies the dynamic space between craftsmanship and technology, continuouslyexploring new influences from people, machines, and environmental factors. Her work is influenced by the interplay of material and structure, using them as carriers of form, light, and shadow.

ARTIST STATEMENT

Code is an additional parameter in the artistic process. It will never replace the physical act of making or the intuition of craftsmanship, but it opens new possibilities. In dialogue with traditional techniques, code becomes a tool for expanding creative potential.
