”AMALGAM” 2026

Miho Kinomura, known by her avatar name MIOMIO, is a top-tier AI filmmaker and creative director specializing in fashion and beauty visuals. After working as a fashion designer in Tokyo, she moved to New York, where she founded a photo rep agency and collaborated with Ellen von Unwerth.

Now based in Los Angeles, she directs and produces cutting-edge AI advertising visuals. Since 2005, she has helmed major campaigns for global fashion and cosmetics brands, becoming a pioneer of generative AI fashion video events in 2022. As the founder of NFFT, she hosts a biennial AI Fashion Movie Event in Tokyo and Cannes. Serving as a Runway Creative Partner, she bridges Japan and the global AI scene.

Her exceptional vision has earned wide acclaim, boasting achievements like a Bronze Clio Award, the highest award at the ASVOFF Vogue Italia festival for her film 'J'ai Faim!', and an AMD Award for Excellence for Japan's first full AI campaign, 'PARCO HAPPY HOLIDAYS'. Furthermore, her work 'NatureX' won Best Visual & Special Effects at the UK Fashion Film Festival, and 'TOKYO ROUGE' was named a finalist at both the AI London Film Festival and the Berlin Short Film Festival, solidifying her status as a boundary-pushing visionary.

Based in Los Angeles, Miho Kinomura is a pioneering AI filmmaker and creative director with a refined aesthetic shaped by her background as a fashion designer and video director. Actively performing as her own virtual human avatar, "MIOMIO," she is deeply immersed in the philosophy of robotech and cyborg culture. For her, AI is a "co-creative partner" that infinitely expands human imagination. Deeply aligning with the vision of the AMALGAM project, she dedicated extensive time to crafting meticulous textures and details, utilizing cutting-edge AI technology to achieve rich, fluid movements in her latest short film, METALLICUM.

METALLICUM dissolves the archaic dichotomies of human/non-human, organic/synthetic, and nature/technology. In this cinematic vision, jewelry is liberated from its traditional status as a passive ornament. Instead, it is reimagined as a Relational Entity—an active post-human organ co-shaped through connection, cybernetic responsibility, and living context. Upon contact with the skin, rigid mineral materials undergo a biomimetic mutation, pulsating and multiplying like synthetic bacteria to hack the biological infrastructure of the nervous system.

Through fluid AI-morphing, micro-circuitry weaves seamlessly into human tissues, transforming the body into a collaborative canvas where hard technology and wet flesh converge. The adornment is no longer worn; it listens, breathes, and synchronizes with the host's vital pulses. By dismantling the binary opposition between the biological and the artificial, the film manifests a cyborg philosophy where fashion becomes an interface, and the material world becomes alive.

Avant-Metamorphosis

In "Avant-Metamorphosis," we explore unimaginable avant-garde combinations using the latest generative AI technology. This project focuses on whimsical pairings, envisioning a fictional avant-garde fashion brand that merges three-dimensional motifs, such as diamonds and crystals, with fashion in ways that transcend conventional human creativity.

The visuals portray a runway show dedicated to this innovative brand. By building a foundation through a series of complex prompts, we design every element—music, visuals, and more—entirely through generative AI technology.
