Previously represented by Lemonade Illustration and Bright agency. Michelle is an artist and published Author of children’s storybooks; Binx the Jinx, released in August 2017 and sequel; Binx Lost in France, released in March 2019 by Tiny Tree Books. Currently, she is focused on the main character of her books: Binx. Inspired by her destination wedding in Cyprus, she is heading up a new illustration series Binx in Cyprus.

Michelle Hird is originally from a small village within Liverpool, and has been living in East London for almost 8 years. The past 3, Michelle has been Illustrator Lead for a computer software company called Sage, located in The Shard, London Bridge.

In 2015, Michelle was nominated for the Best Illustration Nomination on behalf of The Content Marketing Association (CMA) for her work in Completely London Be a Tourist for client; Kinleigh Folkard & Hayward.

MIchelle has been heavily illustrative pretty much her whole life. Growing up in the early 90s, her love for Sonic the Hedgehog and Sega video games first brought on her obsession with cartoons. The Beano, Tiny Toons, Pokemon, moving on to more Manga and Anime in her teens, all contributed to inspire her work today.

Michelle likes to combine her illustrative style into her painting passion, with past exhibitions from Liverpool to Las Vegas. Specialising in portraits of those which greatly inspire her. She likes to paint wonder women; women that are strong, adventurous, flirty, sensual, emotional, fashionable, independent, liberated, and confident. Her new found love of the pouring process has recently been incorporated into her works which led to her latest series, ‘The Water Ladies’. Her Water Ladies have been featured in two London galleries and one in Essex in 2021 of this year.
