You can be on either side of the line by changing your perspective and position. It is up to you to create, eliminate, and cross the boundaries.

This is the theme of my recent exhibition, but what I want to depict is the fluctuation of boundaries.

Just one line on a piece of paper can create a space. A single line can create the ground or a human body. I feel that such line drawings have a charm that can change the world.

I often use people as motifs, but I like to leave the background and emotion of the motif to the viewer. For example, when I draw the cover of a novel, I try to draw pictures without answers so that the reader can enter the story. Also, when I worked with STUSSY to create a picture to be printed on cut-and-sewn clothes, it was used in an unexpected way, but I found the collaboration stimulating and a fun part of the job.

What is the boundary between the line created by the line, and the boundary between the painting and the reality of the wall on which it is displayed?

My line drawings on a flat surface become the source of imagination for viewers who live in reality. I try to create such works.
