MARIA FRANTZI
Cluster Contemporary Jewellery
”AMALGAM”
I was born in Rhodes in 1970 and studied Jewellery making and Design at Mokume Art School in Thessaloniki.
I opened my own studio in 1987 and in 1999 I moved to the UK, where I have lived since.
I love working with gold and silver and I have an endless fascination for stones.
Colours and patterns are in the centre of my work.
I try through my work to interpret the world around me and incorporate my endless interest in older civilisations, paintings and architecture in my designs.
I like my pieces to be both playful and timeless, carrying the memories of the people that wear them to future generations.
