MAIAM | MARIA JESUS SÁNCHEZ MARTINEZ

Cluster Contemporary Jewellery
”AMALGAM”

From the luminous memories of a childhood by the Mediterranean springs the creative universe of this Spanish designer.

After a stint in the financial sector, she decided to transform the rigidity of numbers into the fluidity of wax, finding her true language of expression in artistic jewelry.

Her work is an extension of a summer morning: a dialogue between the sun, the sea, the salt, and the whitewashed walls of her homeland.

Inspired by the organic morphology of the coast, the artist breathes life into silver and gold sculptures that capture the essence of the seascape. Each piece is unique, a fragment of imperfect and harmonious nature frozen in time: the structural resistance of coral, the hypnotic sway of Posidonia, or the ever-changing curve of a wave.

In her jewelry, the sunset light fades into the metal, and her symbolic imagery merges with a technique full of freedom. Her work is an aesthetic proposal where contemporary design meets the emotional heritage of the sea to be worn always close to the skin: a sensory evocation that invites us to relive the delight of emerging from the water, the trail of salt on the body, or the magic of a kiss facing the horizon.
