Madiha Sebbani is a Moroccan multidisciplinary artist, curator, and cultural programmer working between the UK and Saudi Arabia. Her practice explores identity, migration, memory, and cultural paradoxes through photography, self-portraiture, and installation. Recent works produced in Saudi Arabia investigate the dialogue between masculine and feminine traditions, using costume and performative imagery to reflect on belonging and adaptation across cultures. Alongside her artistic practice, she has collaborated with institutions including Misk Art Institute and the Royal Commission for AlUla, while leading international projects through Contemporary Lab Ltd.
Madiha Sebbani explores themes of identity, migration, memory, and cultural duality through photography, self-portraiture, and installation. Her practice is rooted in personal experience, navigating the emotional space between North African heritage and life in Saudi Arabia and the UK. Through staged imagery and performative transformations, she examines the silent negotiations within tradition, gender roles, and belonging. Her recent works produced in Saudi Arabia use traditional attire and symbolic gestures to reflect on paradoxes within social customs, creating visual narratives that bridge cultures while questioning how identity is shaped, performed, and remembered across different environments.
