COUNTER SENSE
Lorena Jarpa is born in Chile. Engraver of the School of Fine Arts and graduate of Environmental Design. She fuses her studies and knowledge in the search for her own language.
ELUCUBRATIONS
Awarded for artistic merit by Gioiellodentro, she exhibits with other selected jewelers in Galeria Rossini.
She gives a speech at the Escuela Superior de Arte y Diseño EASD of Valencia, Spain, for the course of Jewelry and Object of this school. Jewelry and Object of this School in charge of Heidi Schechinger.

BEHIND THE WIND
She has participated in several exhibitions of contemporary jewelry from 2015 to date, in Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, USA, Spain, Italy, Lithuania. Currently she has been selected for the Brussels Jewelry Week, also for the Romania Jewelry Week 2022. Today she is part of an international group exhibition that is circulating in Chile. For her, contemporary jewelry as art is a way of life and to make it less solitary she decided to create a group @labrújula.art to manage group exhibitions. To strengthen the idea she invites other creators located in Chile, Uruguay and Spain to be part of this platform, in order to achieve a more inclusive and global vision.

Where it seems that everything ends, is in reality, everything begins.
In my process I cross textile experimentation from the destruction-construction of a knitted garment. An action linked to Heideggerian thought, which proposes the idea of destroying the meaning of everything to realize that finally at the bottom, there is no bottom. That is to say, everything can be other way.
