“When something ends, that’s when everything begins.”
Lorena explores transformation by interrupting habits to reveal new possibilities. She challenges material limits, using tension and chance to create visual balance. Her work transitions from the rigid to the ductile within materials. Each piece is both question and answer, dismantling preconceptions to propose new perspectives. Her series Ephemeral Whispers serie, embodies the idea of what remains of dreams one second after waking, an image that dissolves, fragments, and then vanishes.
By day or night, asleep or awake, we navigate inner thoughts; we are both inside and outside. Images and ideas manifest in a constant flow of narratives, born from vivid moments where illusion and reality intertwine. But what is real? From the perspective of neuroscience, reality is a construct of the brain—we perceive only a processed fragment of our surroundings. Life is a dream.
