Olly studied fine arts at  Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Hamburg. He started his career in design working  for companies, such as Adidas, Disney Channel and Sky TV.  As the lead 3D artist of an animation studio, he produced a multitude of commercials, as well as a TV series and a feature film.
He is currently experimenting with  frame by frame animations mixing traditional with digital techniques. Olly's new work is informed by both his industry experience and his fine arts background. Recently, he's started exploring the world of cryptoart. 

Loontab's animations are a playful choreography with simply drawn creatures companioned by flickering lines and abstract shapes travelling around.
Olly collects characters from the cartoon and advertising industry that are unknown or forgotten. He loosely assembles them in a raw style that reflects his own unique handwriting.

Olly Schubert a.k.a. Loontab is a a multi disciplinary artist based in Munich. 
His signature style is created in both spontaneous experiments and conceptual art.
He uses frame by frame animation to combine layers of various techniques. Smeary pencils, spray paint textures, tiny marks meet digital glitch, 3D elements and pixel graphics.
