My five years studies in applied arts in Rennes, focusing on interior architecture and product design, led me to work with volumes. I had a real passion for the models we had to create. I spent hours and hours on them, striving for the most beautiful result. At the end of my studies, somewhat frustrated by being limited to cardboard, I wanted to explore working with wood and metal so that my creations could become viable. It was also during this time that I had the opportunity to discover a lighting exhibition that captivated me. I also did several internships in the field of set design, where lighting plays a very special role. Light would become central to my work.
"Based in Rennes, Brittany, Lara creates limited-edition lamps inspired by marine and plant life. Each piece begins with digital design and laser-cut components, then comes alive through careful sanding, assembly, and shaping by hand.
The result is lighting that tranforms everyday space into moments of calm, attentiveness, and quiet ritual-objects designed to last and to be lived with. "
