Kenneth is a Hong Kong-based designer working under the anonymous identity 18008081 / 2201 3KL. 18008081 was his student number during studies at UAL in London. 2201 marks his birthdate and 3KL refers to the address of Hong Kong Design Institute where he completed his Professional Diploma in Fashion Design.

He holds a BA in Graphic Design from Raffles Design Institute and a BA in Fashion Styling and Production from London College of Fashion. In 2026 he also received the Inside LVMH Certificate in Creation & Branding and Retail & Customer Experience.

Currently working at Zara in store operations and e-commerce fulfillment, Kenneth contributed to the immersive background video for r.l.e’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection debut in China, featured in Vogue China.

His project 2201 3KL explores “Intimate Armor” — light, modular protective forms for the transient urban traveler. Drawing from Hong Kong’s raw concrete landscapes and London’s brutalist architecture, the work treats each piece as a hybrid object that shifts between garment, architectural fragment, and digital creation. AI is used strictly as a tool for rapid visualisation and prototyping. The practice examines the tension between permanent concrete and the transient human body.

Titled “Intimate Armor”, the project forges light, modular forms that act as both shield and second skin for bodies navigating the relentless flow of crowded cities. Travel across urban landscapes serves as a vital source of inspiration, uncovering raw brutalist structures — Hong Kong’s unrelenting concrete and London’s powerful icons such as the National Theatre, 180 The Strand, and the Barbican.

Each piece emerges as a hybrid object: part garment, part architectural fragment, and part digital creation. The work probes and sharpens brutalist textures and industrial materials through precise digital processes.

At its core lies the quiet but persistent tension between permanent concrete and the transient human body — a dialogue between endurance and impermanence. The resulting jewellery and fashion concepts remain in a state of readiness, shifting fluidly between physical presence and digital trace.
