Klára Dudáková, founder of Kaaret, is a Prague-based designer whose work grew from a lifelong love of craftsmanship and the need to create tangible objects that could be enjoyed beyond the digital world. She founded Kaaret on the idea of giving new life to old and existing materials using deadstock beads, fabrics, vintage pearls, and secondhand pieces reworked into jewelry that carries forward a history while beginning a new one.

Klára designs jewelry and accessories in small collections and one-of-a-kind commissions, drawing inspiration mainly from her own memories and life stages, letting the material lead the process. Her latest collection, Solutus, explores the relationship between strength and vulnerability, control and release, through motifs of chains, knots, ropes, and silk.

Kaaret is a slow design brand giving old materials new life. Every piece begins with a material that already existed and asks what new story it might tell once used again. The process is deliberately unhurried. Materials are sourced rather than manufactured: leftover Czech glass beads, discontinued fabrics, old jewelry, vintage pearls, each studied for what it carries before being transformed into something new.

In a world that produces endlessly, Kaaret resists overproduction, choosing instead to work in small collections, one-of-a-kind pieces, and close collaborations – with fashion brands, designers, and projects that share similar values, both in design and in life. Kaaret jewelry is worn close to the body, so that its story – old and new at once – becomes part of the wearer's own.
