The artist’s jewelry combines traditional silversmithing techniques with carved acrylic lenses and gold leaf. It is an investigation of process and material, exploring interactions of shadow, reflection, and refraction by manipulating how light passes through acrylic. His work references forms of water and works of twentieth-century painting, melding them with an industrial aesthetic that provides structure to the fluid and energetic forms.
