IZUTSU HIROYUKI
Cluster Exhibitor | Cluster Illustration | Alternative Fair 2021
Hiroyuki Izutsu is a Japan-based illustrator who debuted in the 1980s and has worked in a variety of fields, including advertising and publishing. He has received awards for his contributions to publishing culture from some of Japan's leading publishers.
Hiroyuki's work is made of paint and Photoshop. As the medium in which Hiroyuki's work is published has shifted from paper to monitors, the need for Photoshop has increased. This has allowed him to make subtle brightness differences and colour adjustments closer to his images.
Some of my recent work includes the packaging for Taylors
of Harrogate, the desktop screen for WeTransfer, and the book cover
for The Penguin book of Japanese Short Stories. In particular,
I am working on a landscape painting that I started in 2011.
