Elen Winata is an Indonesian art director and illustrator based in Singapore. Her works span across different mediums such as illustration, motion and design. Known for their clean lines and vibrant colours, her works aspire to inject a sense of delight in those who see them. A graphic designer by training, she sees her works as a union of design and art.

Personal Exploration - Art in the Digital World
With the rapid rise of technology and increasing amount of tools to create with, it is an exciting time to be an artist. Unlike in the past, artists are no longer confined to where they live - but instead are able to share their works with a global audience.

In the same vein, art mediums have also grown from paint and paper. Nowadays, art can be encountered in the most unlikely places; from a well designed soda can, an interactive camera filter to computer generated NFT collectibles.

While many prefer the tactile feel of traditional art, Elen believes that the digitalisation of art can help keep art relevant in the modern world. The more accessible art is to the general public, the more relevant and embedded it is to their daily lives - ensuring the longevity of the art industry in the future.

Elen is particularly interested in learning how to bridge the gap between traditional and digital art. For the 'Still & Motion' exhibition, she has created an interactive AR poster titled 'A Different View' that can be viewed two ways.

Displayed as it is, the poster presents a window of respite from daily life. She has also created a custom AR filter that can be viewed through Instagram that brings the artwork to life.
