It might appear impossible to think that the heroine of this undertaking is tenderness. But if you think that a gesture of tenderness has brought us into the world and a gesture of tenderness has kept us alive, you can also agree that thanks to gestures of tenderness, life can unleash its true power: regenerate humans and give life to things.

Tenderness is not a sentimental weakness: it is a penetrating affection that illuminates the world. Tenderness gives life to the fire that lives inside us. For this reason, tenderness is revolutionary. It is like an act of presence, an attitude of abandonment to the world and a way of perceiving the reality that puts into circulation a new gentle power to act and feel.
