Aqua Song is a picture of the feeling of exuberance. The front panel is a cool, yet strong, blue outlined by energetic pinks and yellows. As the viewer moves past the artwork, a strip of red is uncovered -- the warmth of the passion of the heart. This artwork plays with the optical perceptions of the human eye. As the viewer moves around the artwork colours appear then disappear. Fixed lines seem to vibrate as the viewer’s eyes try to make sense of the fine disruptions in colour. These optical vibrations can only be seen in person (not through a photograph).
