Description: Tide is a reflection on how memory persists and transforms over time. Using silver, copper, blueprint fabric, and silk thread, Yusi explores the tension between permanence and fragility. The blueprint fabric carries traces of warmth, like something once in contact with skin, while the metal embodies emotional weight and structure. In this work, fabric gently wraps around the metal, suggesting memory as a dynamic process—reshaped rather than erased. Yusi often works with overlooked or discarded materials, believing they carry silent histories. Through Tide, Yusi attempts to translate emotionally charged, sensory memories—textures, forms, and functions once tied to the body—into tactile, visible expressions. For Yusi, this transformation is both an act of humility and a method of creation through repetition.
