Description/ Story of the piece: The ‘Bahiti’ Brooch is phereart of the ‘In the Walls’ collection. A modern take on the Egyptian scarab, it features genuine lapis lazuli and carnelian beads; gemstones that were commonly seen in Ancient Egyptian jewellery. The intricate designs on the beetles’ body is reminiscent of decorative tiles that suggest an infestation of beetles have became part of the walls.
