CHLOË ROGERS

“FORMS OF REVERENCE”
2026

Chloë Rogers is a potter based in Deptford, South East London, making wheel-thrown functional ceramics. Chloë started pottery in 2017 with evening classes, beginning with hand-built work and moving onto the wheel. Since then Chloë has built her practice as a member of a co-operative ceramics studio in Deptford alongside her role as a social worker, gradually devoting more and more time to pottery. Chloë has taken part in fairs across London as well as making to commission and for homeware brands. Chloë specialises in tableware and particularly loves making large statement platters and bowls. Chloë is excited to explore new directions whilst refining a core collection of work, and to bring this to new spaces and audiences in 2026.

She is a potter specialising in wheel-thrown tableware inspired by the British studio pottery tradition. Chloë loves to use ceramics as a canvas for decoration with individual brushstrokes. She explores textile-inspired patterns using glaze and oxides that speak to and echo the crafts of dyeing, weaving and stitching, and bring colour and movement to the table and home. Chloë works with a toasted stoneware clay that adds depth to her pieces with an iron-rich speckle and its warm, unglazed surfaces. With simple, elegant forms and earthy tones, Chloë strive to make good, beautiful pottery to be held, used and enjoyed.
