Carlotta lives and works in Switzerland, where she was born in 1988.
Since childhood, drawing and painting have become the primary needs of her life. She considers herself self-taught and she loves to create freely, mixing different graphic and painting techniques. Colors are her hallmark.

Niki De Saint-Phalle is her favorite artist and Outsider art is one of the best discoveries of her life.
Carlotta's works have been displayed in several solo and group exhibitions in Switzerland and Italy. During this summer, the walls of Lugano (Switzerland) hosted her first street art exhibition: 14 imaginary characters in large format colored the city.

She currently works in Geneva, in a creative atelier for people with psychiatric disorders and this job is another proof of the importance of art in our lives.

Carlotta has been drawing and painting all her life and loves to discover the works of other artists.
She takes inspiration from subjects that touch her deeply and from her daily life. Medicine is one of her favorite topic because all members of her family work in medical field and she’s currently engaged in a medical-social structure. In 2020 she realized an important project about rheumatic fever, disease that mainly affects people in the third world.

She likes to transmit a message by her illustrations, but sometimes the result is far from what gave her the creative impulse, as she also likes to let her imagination run wild, favouring the aesthetic value of the work over the conceptual one.
Carlotta loves traditional graphic and painting techniques but she recently discovered the power of digital programs like Adobe Illustrator. Her artworks are the result of handmade and digital elaborations. Colours, and in particular the contrast between them, are the distinctive feature of her work.

She dreams on living of her art, but she also wants to keep her personal style and not to be influenced by market trends. Creation must always remain a pleasure for her and not the result of a compromise between artist and society.
