Andreia Gabriela Popescu is a teacher, designer, and jewelry manufacturer who has been creating unique and sophisticated contemporary pieces since 2010. She has garnered multiple awards at prestigious international jewelry exhibitions and competitions for her innovative collections. Her artworks stand out through daring volumes and innovative surface finishes, offering the wearer an atypical jewelry experience. In her work, she utilises platinum, gold, silver, gems, as well as unconventional materials such as resin and Corian.

Her artworks are exhibited in Decorative Art Museums both in her country and abroad and are recognized and appreciated in many places around the world, including New York, London, Milan, Madrid, Barcelona, Venice, Lisbon, Athens, Prague, Legnica, Vilnius, Baccarat, Brussels, Munich, and Turin.
As a dedicated senior contemporary jewelry lecturer, Andreia encourages her students to explore beyond conventional boundaries. She curates and organizes students' exhibitions in international contemporary jewelry competitions.
“Through colors, our life is a perpetual journey! They inspire us and guide us towards our goals. Colors can be associated with sounds, shapes, tastes, or smells, allowing us to imagine places and experiences.
I choose purple-red, violet, red, and mauve because gazing at them evokes the taste of blackberries, strawberries, and blueberries. These colors awaken our senses and transport us to lush, fruitful landscapes.
Similarly, orange, violet, vibrant magenta, blue, and purple are reminiscent of the Iris flower, a symbol of spring and the freedom of light. In ancient Egypt, it symbolized strength and eloquence, while in Greek mythology, Iris served as the messenger of the gods, representing the rainbow—a link between Earth and Heaven.
This is the synesthetic power of colors, blending our human senses to evoke emotions, sounds, feelings, and images. Colors are among the simplest tools at our disposal to enhance positive emotions and nurture our well-being, with their effects often manifesting instantly.”
