AMANITA LABS
“FORMS OF REVERENCE”
2026
Natascia Berutto is a designer and maker based in England, whose work explores organic form through a range of materials and techniques. Her practice is driven by an ongoing interest in how shapes emerge from observation, touch, and spontaneity rather than from fixed plans.
She works across ceramics, digital design, and 3D printing, moving between disciplines as a way to understand form from different perspectives. Drawing, digital modelling, and prototyping allow her to test proportion and structure, while working directly with clay introduces tactility, resistance, and variation. This back-and-forth is central to her approach, enabling ideas to evolve gradually through making.
Natascia is particularly interested in irregularity and natural asymmetry, drawing influence from landscapes, raw surfaces, and architectural details shaped over time. Rather than aiming for uniform outcomes, she allows traces of process to remain visible, treating them as integral to the work.
Alongside making, she documents her practice as a way of reflecting on decisions, transitions, and the slow accumulation of knowledge across materials and techniques.
"Amanita Labs is a studio practice working at the intersection of function and sculpture, creating objects designed to inhabit everyday spaces.
The work balances functionality and decoration, resulting in pieces meant to be used, handled, and lived with, while maintaining a strong material and visual presence. The focus lies in developing objects that accompany daily life without losing their sense of intention.
Conceived as a space for experimentation, testing, and slow development, Amanita Labs works with ceramics and 3D printing, alongside digital tools and prototyping methods.
This dialogue between processes allows forms to be explored, refined, and translated across materials, with particular attention to surface, proportion, and tactility.
Production is intentionally kept small-scale. Objects are made in limited batches, allowing time for refinement, surface exploration, and careful making. Rather than prioritising speed or uniformity, the studio values variation as a natural outcome of hands-on processes.
Amanita Labs is also attentive to sustainability in both production and sharing. By working slowly and deliberately, the studio aims to create objects that are lasting, meaningful, and grounded in a thoughtful relationship between material, use, and time."
