Up to now she illustrated about fifty books for international publishers. She also worked in illustrating board games, in designing and painting stage costumes, advertising, packaging, murales.

She has an important activity as a painter and sculptress of small objects, including her special “Pipinis” (www.pipinis.art).

She's now working at a wonderful children's book project, a perfect combination of poetry and oddity.

Alessandra Cimatoribus' work has always been based on a profound inner, personal and autonomous research, conducted on unexplored paths, in the absence of precise external references and far from the iconic stereotypes in vogue.

Her artistic expression tells of poetic places interwoven with emotions and feelings and is entrusted to the aristocracy of the sign, to the extraordinary sensitivity of color, to the harmony of the composition.

Her works are characterized by a sense of suspension of time and space, by a quiet mystery, by a dreamlike stillness that invites contemplation; the figures are often subject to perspective deformation and reveal themselves to be essential, stylized, sometimes even just hinted at, not infrequently they float in the air, freeing themselves from the indifference of everyday life.

Favorite themes are nature, animals and the female figure. The latter, both in painting, sculpture and illustration, is often represented as a union between fragility and strength, and is a clear model of "poetic imperfection": for Alessandra, imperfection is a great value because it makes us feel welcomed and relaxed, and moreover it is a distinctive sign, it is that originality that sets us apart from each other.

Alessandra, with her works, constantly reveals the poet and the child hidden within herself, unvealing herself to be an enchanted enchantress.
