I work primarily with hot glass, which attracts me most of all other mediums. I find it captivating not to be able to touch 1100 C glowing-hot liquid material with bare hands. I spent years learning skills to control it with tools, and I can finally feel and predict this wild material’s behavior. And still, there is so much more to learn and discover. My passion lies in hot glass sculpting. I enjoy creating realistic refined objects that require all of my skills. However, letting go of the need to control every aspect and improvising with hot glass on abstract shapes brings me the pure joy of creation. The element of randomness helps me capture hot glass’s fluid essence in organic forms.
