Audrey Fosseprez, born in 1989 in Versailles, is a young Parisian visual artist. She obtained the DNSEP in 2014 after five years of study at the Fine in Rennes.

During these five years, her interest in the natural sciences became clearer and she began to explore a wide variety of materials.

She can take us on a journey into the cosmos with a simple glass of water nestled in a box made from a roll of toilet paper and scrap wood, a drop of saliva observed under a microscope or a complex fibre optic structure controlled by a motor.

SWING série1

I take certain components which I then use as a support or basis for reflection and experimentation.
The supports and materials I use are varied. An aspect that seems important to me in relation to the approach I am developing. I like to confront varied creations but in harmony with each other, as nature does with its landscapes.
The presence of the same forms in each element and their belonging to the same spatial structure are two aspects that I try to emphasize in my work.

SWING série 3

In my practice I try to express my interest in natural phenomena and the forms they generate.
I am fascinated by the fact that a single small set of elemental forms is the source of all the varieties of the world around us.
I constantly scan my environment for elements or phenomena that may call out to me and evoke a certain ghostly and symptomatic manifestation.

SWING série 2

Thus, I play with the notion of scale, the more or less progressive deformation of elements, and the revelation of imperceptible forms that would be linked to natural forces or to the structure of invisible space.
The relationship between landscape and exhibition, biological and cultural memory, contains a certain poetry that I like to reveal through writing.
